IS YOUR CHURCH SELLING YOU OUT?

A Church in Lake St. Louis, MO

About 5 years ago, I began warning people that America was going to get worse as far as godlessness and they needed to be prepared. I’m not a prophet, but just someone who uses the God-given discernment that scripture provides to those who faithfully read it. And certainly godlessness has increased 10 fold in our country as I’m writing this post.

Christians need to be on their guard right now and questioning their church leadership when there is evidence they are becoming one with the world instead of standing on God’s word. The picture above is a case in point. I don’t know this pastor, where he comes from, or what his motives are. I have heard that he is a new pastor, fairly young, and naturally most likely a graduate from seminary. To me, this alone is enough to send up a red flag because seminaries are progressive institutions that are trying to infiltrate churches with worldly belief systems, which at their root, are designed to remove God from lives and not change lives through God’s redeeming power. Churches would be better following scripture when it comes to spiritual gifts like pastoring. A pastor is a spiritual gift and calling given by the Holy Spirit, not a professional career with a salary and benefits.

But what I want you to focus on is the sign posted in front on their property. It says “Stronger Together” and is accented with a noticeable “rainbow” colored rope. This is where Christians need to use their spiritual brains and ask some questions.

Any minimal research on this sign’s tagline will reveal to you what the motive is behind it. “Stronger Together” has become an internet tagline for the progressive left movement. Leftists, or really let’s just call them what they are which is cultural Marxists/Socialists are atheistic in their belief system. They want to teach your children and your congregation there is no real God and they will use subtle ways to do it until people have fallen for it without even knowing it.

And what do these people stand for? Take a look at the screenshot below of a Facebook page for a group called “Stronger Together”. They believe in abortion, LGBT rights, and other social justice or “radical left” causes that ultimately restrict religious freedom and will lead to the persecution of Christians.

The real cause behind “Stronger Together”

Bet you never thought your church would be responsible for persecuting Christians did you? Well, the next 5 years I believe you will see this very devil inspired activity going on in churches. Look at the pressure being applied to Christian churches right now and the violation of their rights to meet during this Covid 19 crisis. Although casinos and other such establishments are allowed to have large groups, in some states like California, churches are having to defend their right to meet. Although I don’t agree with him on everything, I thank God for men like John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in L.A. who has decided to take a stand for the church and meet regardless of the local rules that violate civil liberties.

As these next 5 years progress, I think you will see a fissure open up in the Christian community and it will start to become evident which churches are truly Christian places of worship and believers in Jesus Christ and the Bible, and those with worldly inspired motives that are driven by money and reputation instead of Jesus Christ and his teachings.

And that’s why I am writing this post. If you are a Christian attending an organized church with a professional staff, you need to be on your guard and ask questions. Come Judgement Day, you WILL NOT be able to use your pastor and your church as an excuse for why you did not obey Christ.

Remember, you have more leverage than you think. Your church depends on tithes and offerings for its very existence. Without your money and the money of your fellow congregants, who should all be bible believing Christians too, your church will go out of business. Shamefully, that’s what most churches have become…businesses.

The good churches and the bad churches will be easy enough to detect. Good churches will continue to reach out to their surrounding communities with the gospel and participate in ministries that cloth and feed people. Bad churches will be those that engage in the same social justice causes leftists do. So if your church supports causes of feminism like “reproductive rights” or makes a big deal out of reaching out to the “LGBT community”, you need to stand up to your pastor and church leadership. They have decided to go the way of the world.

As a Christian attending and organized church, here are some suggestions to keep your church on track. 1) Makes sure you vote for Godly older men to positions of leadership. 2) Make sure you understand where your pastor’s heart is politically. These days, there is nothing wrong with asking this question. Politics is no longer a difference of opinion over taxes. It’s now become a difference of supporting good or evil. If your pastor will not openly discuss his beliefs this is a big red flag and should be addressed by elders. 3) If your pastor and others in leadership positions refuse to renounce these worldly causes, then you should withhold any tithes and offerings and encourage others to do so as well until they change their mind. 4) Ultimately, if your church has the authority to fire the pastor and find one that is spiritually mature and biblically based, then you should pursue that course. 5) If your church leadership is relentless in pursuing the world and the other members of the congregation are ok with it, get out and find another church or Christians to fellowship with.

Please remember, these recommendations are not to be taken lightly. They are not an excuse to try and cause division in your church over minor issues. You should follow all biblical courses of action when it comes to approaching these issues within your church. And you should definitely spend time in scripture so that you understand thoroughly how to approach this in a biblical way.

And most of all, you do not have to be a member of a local organized church. In fact, if your faith has not taken you more and more outside of the walls of your church I would dare say you have some soul searching of your own to do with the help of the Holy Spirit and your bible. All you need as a Christian is obedience to God’s word and fellowship with other Christians seeking God’s will.

To close out this post, I will leave you with the following scripture to ponder.

2Pe 2:1-22 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. 4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; 5 if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 if by turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to ashes he condemned them to extinction, making them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; 7 and if he rescued righteous Lot, greatly distressed by the sensual conduct of the wicked
8 (for as that righteous man lived among them day after day, he was tormenting his righteous soul over their lawless deeds that he saw and heard); 9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,
10 and especially those who indulge in the lust of defiling passion and despise authority. Bold and willful, they do not tremble as they blaspheme the glorious ones, 11 whereas angels, though greater in might and power, do not pronounce a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord. 12 But these, like irrational animals, creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed, blaspheming about matters of which they are ignorant, will also be destroyed in their destruction,
13 suffering wrong as the wage for their wrongdoing. They count it pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, while they feast with you. 14 They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children! 15 Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray. They have followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved gain from wrongdoing, 16 but was rebuked for his own transgression; a speechless donkey spoke with human voice and restrained the prophet’s madness. 17 These are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm. For them the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved. 18 For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the flesh those who are barely escaping from those who live in error. 19 They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.
20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”
